How can I best capture macro photos of flowers to show their true beauty, which is often overlooked?
While researching flower photographers, I discovered some gorgeous work by Jacky Parker. Her soft, beautiful flowers inspired me to further my flower photography because they showed me flowers in a way I had never seen before.
I experimented with a macro lens while using both long and shallow depth of field to try to capture soft flowers. I also tried not always be right against the flower and shoot from as many angles as I could fit my camera. If I had more time, I would expand my collection of flowers and try long exposures, hi-key/low-key, and the use of a flash.
